Happy Birthday Kyra!!

On May 31, Kyra turned six years old!! Her birthday was on a Saturday this year, so we had the whole day to party! It was just the four of us, but we had a great time. Kyra got to pick the activities. First we went to see the movie up, which happened to open the day before. We saw it in 3-D, which was awesome!! Then off to Chuck E. Cheez, oh yeah!! We were at Chuck E Cheez for about five minutes when Karson pee'd his pants while climbing around in the jungle gym. Apparantly he was so excited and having so much fun that going poddy completely escaped him! It was fabulous trying to climb up into the gym to clean up a big puddle of pee with napkins, now that's my idea of fun! After eating pizza in wet pants I took Karson home for a shower and clean clothes while Kyra and Beau played games. At least Karson's little accident did not take away from Kyra's big day. Once we were all worn out on video games and skee ball we headed home for cake, presents and Kyra's favorite dinner.... TACOS. What a wonderful day we had celebrating for our big six year old!! We love you Kyra!

Kyra had a butterfly cake. I made it the night before. It took quite a while to frost it as the kids had gotten a hold of the decorating tips, so they required surgery before they were useable again. It wasn't perfect, but overall I think it turned out pretty good and Kyra loved it!

We love camp rock!! Now we can watch it and sing all the songs, YIPEE!!

Kyra absolutely loves to sing and dance. She dresses up in her "super-star" clothes, puts on some music and dances in front of the TV (when it's turned off so she can see herself). It is pretty stinkin cute. When I was birthday shopping I saw this karoke machine and it was the perfect fit. Now she can sing along to all her favorites with her own microphone. She loves this thing!! We have been privledged to watch many of Kyra's concerts!!

Ocean Front Camping

In May we took off and went camping in Carpenteria with Curtis and Karla, Beau's brother and his wife. Carpenteria is a small town near Ventura. It was awesome!! The weather was beautiful during the day, but pretty chilly at night! We could hear the ocean while we slept, which was amazing. Beau and I did forget our children's jacets and shoes, what great parents we are, but they survived and we had a great time!! We saw lots of ocean life including a seal and several dolphins playing in the waves. I must say it again, WE LOVE THE BEACH!!!

Karson through a big fit and threw himself down into the sand. When he stood up his whole face was covered in sand. It's hard to see in this picture, but it was pretty dang funny!
